Backcountry Mechanical

Zach has really gone above and beyond. One of if not the best technician I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Great guy, straight to the point. Knows his stuff inside and out. Highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend Backcountry Mechanical! Zach is my first call for hvac. He is very knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy. He has always gotten us scheduled quickly and his prices are very reasonable.

Had a garage heater installed last year. We love it! The crew at Backcountry Mechanical did a great job, customer service was top notch and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend!

We have a microgreens grow facility and Hunter has us setup to a T! He installed a large air conditioning and heating system. We couldn’t be more pleased with how it’s operating. It runs great and efficient. One of the great features is we can put our system on auto and set the air conditioner temperature and and the heating system so it will maintain our temperature year round. Great service! Thanks Hunter!

I called Backcountry Mechanical and Zach came out the next morning and checked my a/c that wasn't cooling very well and found out it was low on Freon he charged it up and it is cooling good now. Zach was very friendly and professional. I recommend Backcountry Mechanical for your A/C and heating system. Mel

Outstanding service from start to finish. The crew was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. They quickly found the problem, explained everything clearly, and had everything fixed in no time. A special thank you to Zach. He was awesome. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and that I understood what was going on. It is hard to find people who genuinely care about doing the job right, and this team definitely does. I highly recommend them to anyone needing HVAC service.

We had Zach come by to work on our AC. EXCELLENT service. 100% recommend.

Hunter came out to take a look at my AC which the other companies had condemned and told me I needed a new one, he was able to figure out the problem and replaced the coolant and saved me from paying thousands of dollars. Thank you for everything you do for our community your knowledge and work ethics has saved my children from a heat wave i will recommend Backcountry Mechanical to everyone.

My husband was out of town and it was a heat wave in rapid city. In house showed 82 and climbing. Outside over 93 to 100. Hunter came in earlier than scheduled ( which never happens) fixed problem and didn’t try to upsell me, which I appreciate. I won’t use anyone else…

Excellent and speedy service!!! Highly recommend them for all your hvac service.

My air conditioning went out late at night and I left a phone message to get it repaired and the next morning back country mechanical was here to fix it. The customer service knowledge and skill set was outstanding. They quickly fix the problem and add me up running in a short amount of time. I highly recommend the superior company. They were just totally outstanding and I am so grateful to them.

AC was not cooling. The technicians arrived on time and went to work immediately. They recharged my system and discussed the possibility of future problems to make me aware of potential issues. They were courteous and respectful at all times. I highly recommend Backcountry and will definitely use them again if the need arises.

These guys are quick efficient and very competitively priced! They installed a heater in our shop and we couldn’t be happier!! Would highly recommend them.

Zach was very helpful and professional. We had him come out for maintenance on our older furnace. He took the time to answer questions I had on the proper use and cleaning of a different gas appliance in my home. Thank you for the awesome service!

Hunter is the man! We needed two new large units. A central heat and air unit for the main house and a two Zone mini-split for our addition. Our house was built in 1956 with a large L shaped addition in 2006, so we had to do some problem solving to get all areas heated and cooled. We also had to get him to redo almost all of the old inadequate poor duct work. The price was much more reasonable than others. Plus others were not really interested as we live in Custer. Hunter replies to your inquiries in a timely manner. Very professional along with online invoices and payments. Hunter is a very professional man who cares and is growing his buisness, helping homeowners that most others ignore. He has a very prosperous future ahead. We are so thankful for him. Our heating and air bills are lower. The units we got had about $2000 in federal tax credits, sweet! We can now relax in the cold winters. A ++

My carbon monoxide detector went off after turning on my heat. I called and they were able to send a technician out within 3 hours. Travis did a thorough examination with his carbon monoxide detector, a quick unit clean, and ensured there was no carbon monoxide leakage. He was extremely professional and efficient. He offered to pit us on the call list for a spring checkup as well. He preemptively inspects your system to see where trouble may occur before it gets out of hand with expenses. Very satisfied with his timeliness, service, and professionalism. Would highly reccomend!
